Sleeping Baby Cake Round 2

An order for another sleeping baby cake- which was great because this little guy is sooo much fun to make!
Baby is made of rice krispies and covered in marshmallow fondant- the cake is vanilla cake with lemon buttercream.

Boston Cream Pie Cupcakes

Birthday Cupcakes!
Mini boston cream pies, with vanilla cake, pastry cream and chocolate glaze on top:) Nuff Said!

Tulip Cake

A little birthday cake for my favorite Vancouver photographer Leslie!
For her birthday her only request was for some super chocolate cake - wish granted!
And otherwise she gave me total creative freedom with the design; I had seen a beautiful tulip cake by Pink Cake Box, so I thought I would give it a try and of course give it my own flair :)

Cake is chocolate with chocolate buttercream, marshmallow fondant and gumpaste tulips, butterflies, and ladybugs.

Back in Action!

Well I am back after 3 wonderful weeks in Europe, so many amazing things to see and some pretty rockin weather! While despite the drizzly rain here in Vancouver this weekend, it is still great to be home!
Time to gear up for a busy summer, and there will be lots of cake/cupcake creations pictures to come!

Vacation Alert!

Hi Roxiecakes Fans! Just a note to say that I will be taking some time off and stepping out of the kitchen, to get some R & R-so I am not available for orders until after July 1st.
In the meantime please feel free to send me your ideas and order requests for July and beyond- I will do my best to get back to you asap!

Cake Smash Cake!

Here is an argyle patterned cake done up for a cake smash session for a special 1yr old.
The photo session was done by the fabulous Leslie of Sakura Photography

The cake is vanilla with vanilla bc.
